Famble Flip

I came across this picture yesterday in one of my old rolls. This is a young Sierra Leonean bustin a move at a soccer game. The catch is that this game was organized by an NGO called Fambul Tok, which works for reconciliation in Sierra Leon. In the game the teams were made up of a mix of victims and perpetrators who now live in the same villages. Fambul Takk organizes events such as these and reinstates community councils of elders in each village. This tradition of council was lost during the war. Also the group organizes large bon fire events where many villages in a given area unite and perpetrators are given an opportunity to beg their victim's forgiveness.
